News for  7 Jun 09.......... This past month has been like herding cats...For the new news we have added a couple of sites, be sure to visit them above and sign the guestbooks. I know you are all waiting to hear how Woodys Ride turned out soooooo... The weather was great, 88 and sunshine with a cool breeze blowing in off the lake, big change from last year when we were dodging tornadoes. The support from other bike clubs and groups was great and all had a good time. The music was just perfect. To start off with there was ROCKHOUSE a rock group that played music from the 80's to today and for the drummer to belong to the UMF they had the cutest little bass player you ever seen. be sure and click the imbeded link and visit their site. After them was another local group, AMBUSH a rock group that played all the favorite biker tunes. Man they were tight! when they harmonized the crowd stoped. I have put a link to their site as well. The food was cooked by ALR Goose who did a great job and there was plenty hamburgers, hot dogs, and Down Home Sausage to eat. As a matter of fact all our brothers from the American Legion Riders were a big help and without their support this event may not have happened, or at least things would not have been as smooth. Thanks to them and American Legion Post 14 for their help and support. They have a really nice place with about 10 acres that borders along cross lake. The ARKLATEX car club brought some cars to show off and lend their support, Claude Price was taking pictures and I have a link to his site on page 2. It seems like everyone had a camera but me. Maybe Wheelkicker will get some pictures posted in our albums for all to see. All in all The 2nd annual Woodys Ride Home was a great success, I would even venture to say we doubled what we did last year, and it will do nothing but grow from here on out.

In other news, Brother Dakota Kid was passing through Shreveport on his way back home this past Sunday. Wheelkicker, Kinky, Weatherdoctor, Pawpaw, and myself met him at the Iorn Skillet truck stop up on I-20, had a couple cups of coffee and got to hear some road stories. We had a great time, hugs all around and wished him off to a safe ride home. Kid be sure to drop us a line to let us know you made it back safe.
